Workmen have been converting two units to provide a dozen tables including three American nine-ball tables, five snooker tables and a match table in its own room.

There will be a sports room with five darts boards, screens showing live sport, a poker table, a bar and a kitchen.

Miss Fivey, whose partner Malcolm Johnstone will manage the venue, said: “I’ve played pool for the past 15 years and I always thought that one day if the circumstances are right I would set up my own club.
“As a player I know what makes a good club and we found the premises so I thought ‘why not?’”

The pool player, who has competed at the Pool World Championships, added: “There will be a fully licensed bar and kitchen serving food, Sky TV, a TV lounge and the darts room is something we’re very keen to push.”
