Crash on rural A260 near Swingfield, near Folkestone, leaves six people injured

Emergency serives were scrambled to a rural road this afternoon (Saturday), after a multi-car pileup left six people injured.

Two people were left with serious injuries, with four more requiring treatment, after the smash involving two cars and a van.

Folkestone fire station's White Watch received a call at around 1.20pm to inform them of the incident.

Two crews of firefighters from Folkestone and six ambulances attended the scene, on the A260 near Swingfield, around six miles from Folkestone.

A doctor and a critical care paramedic from the Kent Air Amublance also travelled by road to assist.

Police closed the road in both directions for a number of hours to allow medical treatment and crash investigation work to take place.
