By Molly Mileham-Chappell

Traffic has been held on the M20 this afternoon on both sides of the motorway after a man was spotted standing on a bridge above the motorway.

Police were called at 3.30pm to reports of concern for a man standing on a bridge on Station Road, Ashford above the M20.

The man came down from the bridge and is now with police.

Delays can be expected while the area clears.

Highways England‏ have also tweeted this afternoon saying that there are delays just after junction 10 on the M20 coastbound with one lane closed because a car has broken down.

The car has its hand brake stuck on, and motorists can expect delays there too. It is currently expected to clear by 6pm.
