A 16-year-old boy is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after being hit by a car.

The air ambulance was called to Beaver Lane, South Ashford, after the accident in Beaver Lane at shortly before 12.45pm on Monday.

Officers are now appealing for information about the collision, which involved a silver Ford Fiesta.

Air ambulance attended and the injured pedestrian, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to Kings College Hospital in London.

The woman driver of the car was not hurt.

The road was closed between Langholm Road and Jemmett Road whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and re-opened at 1.35pm.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, as well as anyone who saw either the car or pedestrian prior to the collision.
