Ambulances in Canterbury Road, Ashford

Three cars were involved in a crash in Ashford with one of the vehicles fleeing the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing ambulances are at the scene, near the Bybrook Barn Harvester, and a casualty placed on a stretcher.

Police said they were called just after 7pm to three cars which had crashed.

A spokesman said: "One of the vehicles was reported to have left the scene prior to officer’s arrival however it was later located and seized.

"The details of the alleged driver have also been taken and enquiries are ongoing."
