A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a red Ford Focus ploughed into a lamppost in South Ashford.
Police were called just after 6.30pm yesterday to Jemmett Road close to the junction with Langholm Road.
The 28-year-old was breathalysed by officers called to the scene and remains in custody.
Inquiries are ongoing.
