White Skoda Citigo crashes into tree on A251 at Boughton Aluph, near Ashford, in thick fog

A car smashed into a tree in thick fog on the A251 this morning.

The white Skoda Citigo was travelling towards Ashford when it left the road at Boughton Aluph and collided with a tree.

Police were called at 8.15am but said no one was injured in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.

Yesterday the A251 was closed in both directions at Sheldwich, between Ashford and Faversham, following a collision between a lorry and a car at 7.20am.
