Man caught in the act letting a tyre down on Kent Police Hawkeye CCTV van in North Street, Ashford after yoghurt attack

A man was snapped apparently letting down a tyre of a police van yesterday afternoon - just days after the same vehicle was attacked with yoghurt.

The Hawkeye CCTV van in North Street, Ashford was splattered with the dairy snack on Saturday, by a vandal who also urinated against it and let down the tyres.

Despite the surveillance equipment on board the van, the attack was not captured on CCTV.

Chris Martin, an engineer from Medway Tyres was sent to repair the tyre yesterday afternoon.

He said: "There's nothing sharp in the tyre or any damage so he's stuck his finger over the valve core and waited 10 minutes for it to deflate.

"Whoever he is he obviously wants to be caught because he's hanging around."
