Crash at Beaver Road, Victoria Road and Romney Marsh Road junction near Ashford International station

A woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital following a crash between a van and a car.

The incident happened near the traffic island at the Beaver Road, Romney Marsh Road and Victoria Road junction around 10.10am today.

Ambulance crews arrived at the scene and checked over two women in their 60s who were both suffering from chest pains.

One woman was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police are still at the scene.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at just after 10.10am today to a report of a collision in Station Road, Ashford.

"It was reported a gold Perudua Kenari and a white Renault Kangoo were involved in a collision near the traffic lights at the junction with Victoria Road. One lane is blocked.

"SECAS are also in attendance. Two female drivers reported minor injuries."
