POLICE have released a CCTV image of a woman and a man they wish to question in connection with an alleged racial incident in a town centre takaeway.

A 26-year-old member of staff was serving the couple the Ashford Grill and Kebab shop in the town's high street when the incident occurred.

After receiving their kebabs, it is alleged they began to racially abuse the staff verbally. The woman is believed to have been the main offender.

Shortly afterwards the two customers left the shop and walked towards Canterbury Road.

The man is described as white, aged 25-35, about 5ft 8in tall, of proportionate build, clean shaven with short brown hair. He was wearing a blue tracksuit top with white stripes on the arms and chest. He had dark jeans and white trainers.

The woman is described as white, aged 25-35, of proportionate build with collar length straight, dark hair. She was wearing a black cardigan and blue flared jeans. She is described as being drunk.

The incident happened on Thursday, May 31 at about 11.30pm.
