Emergency medical incident at Ashford International station

Emergency services scrambled to a medical incident at Ashford International train station this afternoon.

At least five police cars and two vans were spotted on the domestic side of the station on Newtown Road around 1.45pm.

An ambulance and fire engine were seen on the International side close to the designer outlet.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "This was an assistance to Kent Police and SECAmb paramedics at a medical incident in which KFRS crews provided screening to protect the dignity of a casualty.

"Our call time was 12.39pm and we were stood down at 1.08pm."

Police and SECAmb have been asked for a comment.
