Five hurt in two-car collision

One person had to be flown to hospital after a car crash that injured a total of five people.

The accident, involving two vehicles, happened on Canterbury Road, Ashford, at 4.35pm on Saturday.

The victim, suffering head injuries, was flown by air ambulance to the Queens Hospital in Romford, Essex.

The other four who were hurt were taken by land ambulance to Ashford’s William Harvey Hospital.

One woman suffered leg and sternum injuries, another woman had a sternum injury and a third endured chest pain.

A fifth victim, a man, sustained shock.
