Aggravated burglary at house in Maidstone Road, Ashford

A gang of raiders terrorised three occupants when they broke into a home.

The petrified victims were threatened with a knife and glass bottle.

Police say the aggravated burglary happened at a private address in Maidstone Road, Ashford, near its junction with Chart Road.

Three or four men broke into the property at 11.45pm on Friday.

They stole a quantity of cash, a mobile phone and a driving licence.

One suspect is described as wearing a dark tracksuit and a hat covering his ears, a second had a red and black balaclava while another was wearing sunglasses. Two of them were said to have north English accents.

Investigating officer, PC Gemma Simpson said: "While this is being treated as an isolated incident, we are completing extensive enquiries in the area and examining all the available CCTV footage to track down the suspects.

"I would be keen to hear from anyone who saw a group of men acting suspiciously in Maidstone Road or Chart Road, or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of incident."
