A pensioner missing from his Ashford home has been found safe and well.

Mick Ross, 76, was last seen at his home in Weavers Way at around 7.30pm on Sunday.

Kent Police yesterday issued an appeal for help in finding Mr Ross.

A spokesman said today: "The missing man has now been located safe and well.

"Officers would like to thank everyone who helped with the search."

Mr Ross's family had been growing increasingly concerned for his welfare after he left his house without their knowledge.

The police helicopter was seen flying over and around Ashford today in search of Mr Ross.
