Cannabis seized after house in William Road, Ashford is raided by Kent Police

A cannabis factory has been discovered at a house in South Ashford following a police raid yesterday.

Officers from Ashford police station found 170 plants and various pieces of equipment associated with cultivating the plants.

Around 170 plants of various sizes were found at the property in William Road near Ashford College.

The raid followed reports made to officers from concerned neighbours about the smell of cannabis in the area.

Kent Police also said there had been damage caused to the electricity supply.

No arrests have been made yet and officers are continuing their inquiries.
