Police search after man seen with gun in Ashford town centre

Officers swooped on a town centre this afternoon after a man was seen with a gun.

Police were called to Ashford's New Street at 1.46pm.

A thorough search was carried out, but neither the man or a gun has been found.

A Kent Police spokesman said inquiries are ongoing.
