An investigation will be carried out after fire crews tackled a blaze in a front upstairs bedroom.

Firefighters were called out just before 5.30am today to Bredgar Close in Ashford.

They used breathing apparatus and water jets to put out the blaze in just over an hour.

The cause isn't yet known and there were no reported injuries.

The bedroom suffered severe fire damage and the upstairs of the property suffered smoke damage.
