A man suffered cuts and bruises to his face after an alleged racially aggravated assault in Little Burton.
The 21-year-old man, believed to be of Asian origin, was assaulted outside the Spice Garden takeway at George Williams Way at Kennington at around 9.25pm on Wednesday, May 1.
The victim was treated by ambulance staff on the scene.
The police were also called to the incident and believe the assault was racially or religiously aggravated.
Officers are connecting it with an earlier incident in which seven teenagers were causing a disturbance in the area and changed the TV channel in the Indian restaurant.
