Man attacked in Beaver Road, Ashford, during night out

Police investigating an assault that took place in the early hours of New Year’s Day are appealing for help in tracing a couple they would like to speak to.

A 21-year-old man was walking home along Beaver Road after a night out, when he was approached by a man who punched him in the face.

The victim was left unconscious for a couple of minutes and witnesses saw the couple continue to walk along Beaver Road and then into Godfrey Walk.

The offender is described as a white man of stocky build, aged 20 to 25, 5ft 9in tall. He was wearing a black quilted jacket, blue jeans and white trainers and a woolly hat or flat cap.

He was with a white woman who was aged 19 to 20, of small build, 5ft tall, with long dark hair and a similar dark jacket. She was also wearing large hoop earrings.

Anyone who knows this couple, or has any information about the assault, is asked to contact Sergeant Eric Norman on 101 quoting crime reference zy/19/13/12.
