Folkestone bus travellers couldn't believe their eyes when this pony boarded a Stagecoach bus.

Not showing any signs of having the correct fare, the horse looked calm when he approached the driver.

But the four-legged creature didn't stay the distance... the bus at Folkestone bus station soon moved off without him.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said: "The pony didn't actually travel on our bus.

"It was on board for less than a minute whilst the bus was stationary at Folkestone Bus Station.

"The owner asked the driver if she could take a photo of the pony on the bus as it had been photographed in various other unusual locations in town.

"We do not allow horses to travel on our buses."

But was it charged half-mare?
