A woman in her fifties has been taken to hospital after being run over in Saddlers Way, Kingsnorth, Ashford.

The pedestrian suffered back pain after being hit by a dark blue car, which police believe could be a Renault, on the Park Farm estate, near Tesco, at 11.15am.

Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said the woman was conscious when she was taken to the William Harvey Hospital and had not suffered life-threatening injuries.
