Man arrested at Ashford International Station over 'disturbance'

Police were called to an incident at Ashford International station this morningand arrested a man.

It is believed that five police cars were at the side for domestic passengers at around 11am.

A man is reported to have been causing a disturbance on the train. He was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and remains in custody.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Shortly before 11am, officers were called to Ashford station following a report of a man causing a disturbance on a train.

"Officers attended and a man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. He remains in custody whilst enquiries continue."
