Police are now investigating a garden shed fire, which they believe may have been a case of arson.

Firefighters were called to reports of a garden shed on fire in Kettle Drive, Hawkinge, at around 11pm on Saturday night.

It had been feared that the shed contained gas cylinders, but this was found not to be the case.

Two crews from Folkestone attended the blaze, using a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which had spread to a neighbouring shed.

The first shed was completely destroyed by fire, but there were no reported injuries.

If you have any information which could help the police, ring 101.
