Miles Cash admits killing brother Jonny, from Ashford, in Suffolk pub crash

A teenager has admitted causing death by dangerous driving following a crash that killed his brother and a friend.

Miles Cash was 17 when he smashed his Citroen Berlingo into the wall of the White Hart pub in Suffolk.

Cash's brother Jonny, from Ashford, and his friend, 19-year-old Christopher Doran, died in the crash.

Four others were injured.

Now 19, Cash, of Roycroft Lane, Finchampstead, Wokingham, originally pleaded not guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, but changed his plea prior to his trial at Ipswich Crown Court later this week.

The crash happened on Saturday, November 23, 2013, as the group was travelling to a wedding in Lowestoft.

Cash's car hit the pub about 9.30pm, before knocking down a telegraph pole and turning on its side.

Three other men - a 19-year-old and two 20-year-olds - who were also arrested in connection with the crash, have been released without charge.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, thousands joined a Facebook page to honour Jonny.

Friend Deirdre Clyne posted: "May they both rest in peace. God look after both families through this sad time."

Another friend said: "R.I.P Johnny. May you have the best bed in heaven. Sleep tight angel xx."

Cash will be sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on May 20.
