Large bundles of turf were scattered across a road in Ashford after a lorry hit a railway bridge.
Police were called just before 5.30am after the turf truck collided with the Newtown Road crossing.
Drivers faced delays for a number of hours as officers closed the road to check the bridge and clear the scene.
No injuries were reported and the stretch has now reopened.
