Visitors to Ashford's town centre are concerned after a manhole along Bank Street remains uncovered.

According to one Ashford shopper, the manhole cover which is located outside of the former Tiny Tots shop on Bank Street, has been missing since last Friday.

A temporary barrier has been placed around the hole, however as it is only made up of four cones it looks as though it has already been moved.

Concerns are now being raised over the safety of the barriers as people are worried that somebody could easily fall down the hole and be seriously injured.
