David Cameron spotted at Ashford Station

The former Prime Minister was spotted by passengers strolling off the platform at a railway station this morning.

Josh Baxter took a snap of David Cameron as he got off the high-speed service at Ashford International station along with other commuters.

Mr Cameron appeared to be traveling alone, and was wearing a dark suit with a shirt and tie, black shoes, and was clutching a small briefcase.

He stood down as Prime Minister after failing to convince voters that Britain should remain a member of the European Union at the referendum held in June.

The move initially sparked chaos in the Conservative Party, as MPs such as Liam Fox, Stephen Crabb, Andrea Leadsom, Michael Gove and Boris Johnson all appeared to vie for the leadership against the favourite Theresa May.

Mr Cameron then stood down as the Member of Parliament for Witney in Oxfordshire in September, and has since agreed a £800,000 book deal for his memoirs with publisher William Collins.

It appears to have been a busy week for him, as according to Middle East Eye he met Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa of Bahrain on Tuesday.

He now dedicates time to the National Citizenship Service charity, as well as going on the public speaking circuit, where he is purported to earn six figure sums.
