A2070 closed by Kent Police between Hamstreet and Ashford after woman spotted walking in road near Kingsnorth

A woman has been taken to a safe location after she was discovered walking along one of Ashford's busiest roads this morning.

A concerned member of the public called police just before 6am as they were worried about the woman, who was wandering along the A2070 - the main route between Ashford and Romney Marsh - close to Kingsnorth.

Officers closed the road between Hamstreet and Ashford and spent two hours talking to her before taking her away to safety.
