Woman in 70s taken to hospital after being cut free following crash in Tally Ho Road in Ashford

A woman in her 70s had to be cut free by firefighters after a two-vehicle crash in Ashford - just hours after a similar crash in East Farleigh.

Crews in two fire engines used hydraulic cutting equipment to allow paramedics to reach the victim, who was trapped following the crash in Tally Ho Road.

She was then removed from the car, at around 10.30pm last night, and taken on a spinal board to hospital.

In a separate crash just before 7pm last night two fire engines were called to Gallants Lane in East Farleigh after a crash.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut free a woman, who was trapped by her injuries.

She was then taken to hospital by paramedics.
