Leon Camier returns to action in the latest round of the FIM World Superbike Championships in Moscow this weekend.

The Ashford-born FIXI Crescent Suzuki rider, is fresh from a two-week break after claiming two seventh place finishes at Imola in Italy earlier this month, moving him back inside the top-10 overall standings, despite suffering tyre problems.

He will be hoping to better his fifth place in Russia 12 months ago when the event was staged there for the first time, having started 18th on the grid on that occasion.

Camier said: “Moscow is a tough and demanding track like Imola, but quite different in layout.

“Hopefully we won’t suffer the chatter problems we had in Italy, and I need to make sure I am at the top of my game.

“We have found a couple of positive improvements but still need a bit more to challenge for the podium, and will be looking to make further improvements throughout the weekend and maximise our potential.”

The two races takes place at 9am and 12.30pm British time on Sunday.
