Ashford AC runner Kushal Limbu to take on Paralympic sprint champion Jonnie Peacock in Birmingham

Double amputee Kushal Limbu as been invited to run at the IPC Grand Prix Final in Birmingham on Saturday.

The former Gurkha, who lost both legs below the knee serving in Afghanistan five years ago, competes in the T43 100m, in a line-up including Paralympic champion and former world record holder Jonnie Peacock, with the race due to be screened live on Channel 4.

Limbu who celebrated his 31st birthday on Sunday, is ranked fourth in the world in his category, competed in both the 100 and 200m in Birmingham and was first in his class at both distances.

Limbu, who lives with his wife Anjela in Maidstone, trains three times a week in Ashford with coach Peter Le Rossignol as well as three sessions in the gym. He is due to be granted British citizenship in the next few weeks
