Local trainers well represented across the card in Mid Surrey Drag Point-to-Point at Godstone

Local jockey/trainer Phil York will hope for better luck in the opening Conditions race with his mount Definite Ridge, who narrowly missed out on getting a decision at Charing last month.
South East area defending champion rider Phil Hall sends out Dunloughlin, who won the Hunt Members on the same day.

Kent/East Sussex border based Nick Pearce has three entered in the Men’s Open, including 11-year-old Session Or Ression, off the course for two years, since suffering a burst blood vessel.

Rear Gunner who ran disappointingly at the Ashford course a fortnight ago, is entered in the Ladies’ Open and Novice Riders. Lord Multifix, runner-up in the Kent Grand National is set to feature action again in the latter race.

Two maiden winners at Godstone, De Clare Man, and High Hatton are back in action in the Restricted, while Country Foolery, runner-up at Charing, looks the biggest threat.

Boy of Boru, Simonsruudt and Minerfortyniner all return hoping to improve on top-three finishes last time out, while Nick Pearce’s Jenna Pride will be looking to go well again after finishing third at Charing.

The first race if off at 1pm with entry £10 per person, under-16s and car parking free.
The course is situated on the A25, a mile from junction 6 of the M25. Satnav is RH9 8DB
