Plans to erect 17 more wind turbines off Whitstable and Herne Bay go on show at two public exhibitions in the towns this week.

Energy company Vattenfall is applying for permission to extend its Kentish Flats windfarm from 30 turbines to 47.

The scheme will be displayed at the Kings Hall in Herne Bay between 2pm and 8pm on Wednesday and during the same hours at Whitstable castle on Thursday.

The exhibition is part of a consultation by Vattenfall and as well as a display of the proposals, key members of staff will be available to talk to visitors who also be able to leave written comments.
