Four people are said to be injured following a crash involving a van and car on the M2 near Faversham this morning.

It happened around 7.45am and the air ambulance landed near the scene on the London-bound carriageway, which was closed at Brenley Corner for more than an hour, causing long tailbacks.

The casualties are three people in the car and one in the van, although their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Firefighters were helping to free the injured who were being treated by paramedics.

The London bound carriageway, between junctions 7 and 6, has now been fully reopened.
