Stephen Gilson, 33, from Queen Street, Herne Bay, in court on burglary charges after helicopter search

A man hunted with a police helicopter in Herne Bay last week is due to appear in court.

Stephen Gilson, 33, from Queen Street, has been charged with two burglaries and one attempted burglary in the town earlier this month.

He was arrested after two break-ins along Central Avenue last Friday.

A garage and shed were broken into and plumbing parts and a disability tricycle were stolen.

Another attempt to break into a property on the same road was also made.

Mr Gilson appeared at Dover Magistrates Court on Monday, May 6, where he was remanded in custody.

He will appear at Canterbury Magistrates Court on Friday, May 17.
