A crash which saw a car plough into a house in Old Dover Road, Canterbury, brought traffic to a standstill on Thursday morning.

There were hold-ups on busy route – which links the Kent and Canterbury and three secondary schools in the south of the city – from 7.45am until around 10am.

A blue Renault Megane travelling south came off road and struck a house at the junction of Ethelbert Road and Old Dover Road.

The vehicles were all removed and police were called to control traffic.

No one was seriously hurt, but the driver of the Renault was taken to hospital for a check up.
