Drivers are warned to expect rush-hour delays in Canterbury, after two crashes happened within an hour of each other on the same stretch of road.

The first happened in Fausett Hill at 3.10pm, when an orange Peugeot, a grey Fiat and a grey Hyundai collided.

The road was cleared by 4.30pm but traffic delays continue.

The second crash involved two cars, and happened near Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys in nearby Nackington Road just after 4pm.

Police are continuing to deal with the aftermath of the incident, which involved a silver Honda and a blue Land Rover.

One of the cars is blocking the road, and is still awaiting recovery. Traffic officers are directing traffic to help ease congestion.

No one was hurt in either of the smashes.
