A2 Bridge: Crash between car and lorry blocks road

The A2 delays have cleared after crashes on both sides of the carriageway.

Traffic was being diverted at the Bridge turn-off near Canterbury after an accident involving a car and lorry.

Meanwhile, the London-bound carriageway was also closed earlier, due to a separate accident between a car and ambulance near the A2050.

The first incident involved a car and a lorry on the coastbound carriageway. It was reported just before 7am.

No serious injuries have been reported, but one man has been taken to a local hospital.

The second incident took place on the London-bound carriageway and involved a car and an ambulance. It was reported at 7.11am.

No serious injuries have been reported, but a man and a woman were given medical treatment at the scene.
