Police have released this efit after a woman was forced to flee after being sexually assaulted in the street.

The 22-year-old local woman was walking along Stour Street, Canterbury, at around 12.40am on Thursday November 22 when she was approached by a man at the junction of Rosemary Lane.

He asked her for directions, but as she walked away she noticed he was following her.

By the time she had reached Church Lane, the man had tried grabbing her hand a number of times before he sexually assaulted her.

The victim managed to push him away before running to safety.

He was last seen heading back down Stour Street.

The suspect is described as Asian, aged 25-35, of medium build, clean shaven, with short black hair. He was wearing a striped, possibly chequered blue shirt, blue tie, dark trousers and dark shoes.
