Two arrests at City Sound Project music festival, Canterbury

Two men arrested on suspicion of criminal damage at a music festival in Canterbury have been released without charge due to insufficient evidence.

The pair were held yesterday after reports that a dog had been attacked by two other dogs at the Dane John Gardens bank holiday weekend event.

Police were called just before 6pm and two men aged 36 and 51 arrested.

A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed this morning that both had been released without charge.

One person reported seeing a pool of blood at the entrance site near the bus station.

The festival has 16 headline acts performing across 16 stages.

Singing star Gabrielle Aplin is due to perform as part of the festival, as are artists Ms Banks, Artful Dodger and Jesse James.
