Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the A2, just after the Brenley Corner roundabout, heading towards Canterbury shortly after 5.30pm.

Crews closed one lane while they tackled the flames.

An ambulance from South East Coast Ambulance Service was also at the scene, but the driver was not injured.

A witness said: "The driver seemed quite shaken by the whole thing, but he looked more embarrassed than anything.

"It was devastating to see so much unopened beer go up in flames - what a waste!"
