Cabbie abused and attacked in Rheims Court, Canterbury

A taxi driver has suffered abuse and an attempted assault in Canterbury after dropping off a passenger.

The cabbie, who was in a brown Ford Galaxy, had just taken a man and woman in Rheims Court off London Road when it happened.

He says the man became verbally abusive to him in a dispute about the fare before throwing a punch, which fortunately did not connect.

The largely-built offender is described as being aged between 30-40 and bald. He spoke with a foreign accent.

It happened shortly after 5pm on Sunday, June 4 and police have just released an appeal to try and find the man.
