More than 30 full and part-time jobs will be created with the opening of a outdoor equipment and clothing superstore.
GO Outdoors will open its £1.5m shop in Maynard Road on the Wincheap Industrial Estate, Canterbury, on Saturday, May 24.
The new 2,760sqm store will feature more than 30 tents pitched on an indoor tent field, more than 2,000 camping products and a massive range of specialist clothing and footwear.
It will also include dedicated areas for cycling and fishing plus an extensive range of climbing, running and horse riding equipment.
Store manager Faron Cross said: “We’re very excited to be opening in Canterbury which is a great base for outdoor pursuits.”
GO Outdoors was established in 1998 and now has 48 shops in the UK, employing more than 1,800 people.
In the last financial year, GO Outdoors achieved total sales of over £200m, boosted by a fast-growing online capacity.
