A suspected feud between rival car wash workers in Herne Bay ended in violence and a man being taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

Three Romanian men - aged 23, 25 and 26 - have been arrested after the 25-year-old was injured at the Auto Hand Car Wash in Sea Street.

He is still at King's College hospital in London and in a stable condition.

He is also being treated for a knee injury and complained to ambulance staff of rib pain after the assault at 4.50pm on Tuesday.

Officers believe a row broke out when one of the workers at the firm said he wanted to break away and set up his own rival business on the same premises.

The three men arrested on suspicion of violent disorder remained in police custody today.

Anyone who saw the assault is asked to phone police on 101, quoting incident number 23-1401.
