Fire crews called to blaze in roof of home in Laburnham Lane, Sturry

The contents of a loft were destroyed by a fire in the roof of a home in Sturry this afternoon.

Three fire engines were sent to Laburnham Lane at 2.45pm.

They found a small fire in the roof, believed to have started accidentally.

More than half the roof was damaged and electrics in the front and back bedrooms were affected by water.

Firefighters left after just over 20 minutes.
