Cyclist found lying in Hunters Forstal Road in Herne Bay airlifted to hospital after air ambulance lands in Cherry Orchard playing fields

A cyclist who was found lying in a Herne Bay road has been airlifted to hospital this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Hunters Forstal Road at 8.25am by a concerned passerby who found the man.

It is not known how he fell off his bike, but police say there was no evidence of a hit and run.

The air ambulance was scrambled shortly after, and landed in the Cherry Orchard playing field in Lower Herne Road.

Police and ambulance crews moved the man there to be treated, before he was airlifted to hospital.
