DS Brian Doughty said: "He handed over a small amount of cash and the men made off along the alleyway towards Wincheap."

One of the men had pale skin and was wearing a light-coloured hooded top. The other had dark skin and was wearing a black hooded top.

DS Doughty said: "Fortunately the victim wasn’t injured but this was clearly a distressing incident.

"Shortly afterwards he spoke to two other men in Black Griffin Lane. We would like to speak to them as they could have important information that could help our investigation."
