Dover man arrested in Fordwich on suspicion of failing to stop for officers

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a driver allegedly failed to stop for police in Fordwich.

Officers chased the vehicle from King Street to Mill Wall Place in Sandwich at around 7.40pm on Saturday, where a stinger was used to stop it.

The man, from Dover, was found and arrested in Manwood Road just after 8pm.

The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous and unfit driving without insurance. Library image.

He was held on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while unfit due to drugs and driving with no insurance.

He has since been released under investigation as the investigation continues.
