Police hunt for 'baby-faced' robbers following Canterbury attack

A man was punched in the face by a woman and ordered to hand over his wallet by a "baby-faced" knifeman.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was approached by the woman and two men as he walked along Whitehall Bridge Road, Canterbury.

Police have now appealed for witnesses to the attack, which happened between 10pm and 10.45pm on Saturday.

Investigating officer PC Amy Waddington said: "The victim says he was punched in the face by the woman and then told to hand over his wallet by one of the men, who was holding a knife.

"He showed them there was no money in his wallet and they made off empty-handed towards Whitehall Road and St Dunstan’s Street."

All three offenders were described as being white, of a slim build and between 5ft 6in and 6ft.

The woman had straight, shoulder-length brown to blonde hair and was wearing a waist-length dark-coloured puffer-style jacket with the hood up.

The man with the knife is described as being clean-shaven, with light brown hair. He was also wearing a dark puffer jacket and dark trousers.

The third offender was clean-shaven and had light brown to blond hair.

Both male offenders were described as "baby-faced".

PC Waddington said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the descriptions of the offenders."
