Teenage girl sexually assaulted at Canterbury bus station

A teenage girl was assaulted at Canterbury bus station by an attacker who grabbed her and pulled her top down.

The assault took place as the 16-year-old was waiting for a bus in the early afternoon.

The incident took place at 1.40pm on Thursday and police are now appealing for witnesses.

They are particularly keen to speak to an elderly couple who were sitting on the same bench as the girl.

The suspect is described as black, aged between 18 and 25 with short black hair. He was about 5ft 11in tall.
